Paladin Group Ramps Up Hiring
The Paladin Group has been adding to its ranks in recent months, including new members of the senior leadership team, as well as development and sales professionals.
Ted Hopton joins Paladin as Vice President of the Internal Community Practice, tasked with building an expert team to unleash the value of clients’ online employee communities. He brings over 15 years of experience building and leading online communities, including 10 years at large corporations. Most recently Ted served as the Director of Social Business for McGraw-Hill Education, where he was responsible for their internal community that connected and empowered over 5,000 employees around the world.
“I want to take all I have learned in 15 years as a practitioner and combine it with Paladin’s many years of experience delivering for clients to build a consulting practice that consistently exceeds customer expectations,” Ted says of his new role at Paladin.
Ted is also an avid soccer and tennis player. He enjoys exploring the outdoors and all of the activities available in the city of Chicago, especially rooting for the Cubs.
Ryan Rutan joins Paladin as Senior Director of Technology, Internal Communities Practice. For the past five years, he has led the Developer Relations team at Jive Software. He brings more than a decade of experience in innovation and customer marketing in communities, as well as internal collaboration solutions. In addition to his work in customer communities and collaboration, Ryan is a writer, and has authored several creative pieces, including a children’s book about the Internet of Things improving Christmas called PolarPort. Ryan enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, volunteering in his community in Austin, Texas, and building cool technology.
Both Ted and Ryan are well-known and respected in the Jive community arena, and will add in-depth knowledge and understanding of the customer needs in Paladin’s Jive practice.
Brad Warren, who has worked with Paladin as a contractor for the past three and a half years, has joined in a full-time capacity as Senior Developer, Coveo Practice, primarily focused on our new partnership with Coveo. In his permanent role, Brad will be integrating Coveo’s enterprise search technology with other platforms we support like Salesforce and Igloo. He has nearly 20 years of experience as a developer and IT consultant, generally with boutique agencies, and has been an increasingly important presence in Paladin’s development team over the past few years. Brad enjoys collecting and playing board games, often with his three children, as well as listening to and playing music.

He has 14 years of professional experience, including eight years of experience in technology and communications consulting, such as his most recent role as Senior Strategic Account Executive at Penrod. He enjoys movies, music, running, and photography in his spare time.
“We are excited to be adding all these new team members to our growing consultancy,” says Alan Lewis, CEO of Paladin Group. “The combined decades of experience in the various technologies we support will bring us a real competitive edge across the spectrum of community and cloud development. All of these new team members are customer-focused and will help us better serve our clients who are looking to take advantage of everything collaborative cloud environments offer.”
