On Wednesday, June 13, volunteers from the Paladin Group team visited the Jacobs & Cushman Food Bank Warehouse in San Diego alongside several volunteers from the Salesforce San Diego developer group to work in the produce area of the warehouse.
“We are proud members of our local community, and volunteering at the Jacobs & Cushman Food Bank is one more way we can help give back to those in need in our city,” said Alan Lewis, CEO of Paladin Group. “This was also a great opportunity to connect with our San Diego Salesforce community while contributing to our community.”
Overall, the team bagged 9,532 pounds of produce specifically meant for military families and others in need in San Diego.
The Jacobs & Cushman Food Bank operates a number of hunger-relief and resource programs for their client population in San Diego, including military families. The Food Bank also distributes food directly to families and individuals in need at 180 distribution sites throughout the county every month. On top of donating money and canned goods to the Food Bank, volunteers in the area help the Food Bank offset labor costs by working in the warehouse throughout the year.
